A sample of my New Age Showa, a genetic line I began working on here in 1999.

This male is from 2005, the 2nd tier in the outcross.  The 3rd tier was produced this past Spring ‘08.  Several of the offspring from that pairing will be grown out over the Summer.

My goals in this ‘New Age Showa’ line are better body shape for Showa - larger, and with stronger smooth flowing lines from nose to tail, and refinements in color and skin - clean sharp deep sumi that has true sharp kiwa, and shows some sashi,.... and falls primarily on the white ground.  This 2nd tier Showa shows some of these traits, such as incredibly clean deep sumi,... but it’s a long road.  2008’s crop shows an incredible leap forward, and the 4th tier should put me near the goal.
