This past weekend was an exciting weekend for me. Lotus Land Koi Farm clients showed great presence in East Coast Koi Shows - Teresa Lawrence’s Showa was awarded Best In Variety - Showa, and also won the AKCA Award at the First Coast Koi Show in Florida, and at the 2nd Annual Greenville Koi Show, the Mungo Family were awarded best In Variety - Sanke, Chuck & MJ Shaffer took Baby Grand Champion and Best Jumbo, Susan Reed’s LLKF Sanke was chosen for the AKCA Award, and David Gabbard won Best In Size 1, and Best In Variety - Showa. The South Carolina Koi & Watergarden Society hit a homerun with their 2nd Annual Koi Show! The show was held at Heritage Park, in Simpsonville, SC,... a beautiful family park with playgrounds, a train, and many well-groomed baseball fields. The setting was ideal for a Koi Show, with easy access for vendors, show participants, and spectators, and the weather was wonderful all weekend! As a public park, the show site also introduced a lot of park visitors to our hobby of Koi Keeping, which is great for our hobby.
