Lotus Land Koi Farm had a special visitor on Saturday, March 21.  The very talented artist Laura Frankstone and her husband David came over from Chapel Hill, NC.  Laura tavels the US, and many other countries in pursuit of her art subjects.  She contated me last month while doing research for one of her new art series, and finally Saturday the weather was right and our schedules matched up.  She spent several hours looking at Koi, and sketching and painting directly from what she was seeing swimming and swirling in the ponds here.  Laura will be traveling to California next to paint water scenes, plants, and fish from a garden there called ‘Lotus Land’,... I can only imagine what it’s like.
