As a breeder obviously I become very close to many of the Koi I produce. It's most often for me a labor of passion and a creative outlet,... planning the specific parent pairings,... seeing the breeding, egg hatching, pond prepping, and raising of the fry on to the first sorting,... and the critical sortings from there on.
So naturally there are some Koi that I raise that stick in my mind like Velcro,... and they make me say "Yes,... there it is!" the look and characteristics I want,... the reason I breed. Naturally it can be a sad day to see them leave the farm,... but also great to share them, and know that someone else in the US and Canada are enjoying them too.
Here are a few Koi that have left the farm recently that stick strongly in my mind.
