Yesterday was one of those amazingly beautiful days we often get as gifts here in the Carolinas in the Winter,... 65 f. wind-less, and the clearest blue skies. It was a perfect day to play with Koi,... so I did,...
I began netting up and photographing Koi. Taking Koi pictures is mostly an exercise in frustration,... they don't take direction very well overall,... but it's also very exciting to see them up close, and actually enjoy their beauty and details individually. I've posted some new pics in the 'Koi For Sale' section,... and will be taking more as I get time and good weather.
Kohaku sisters,...
A close look at porcelain skin,...
As always,... in between work I try to play as much as I can. Here is a new adventure video I recently shot,... and a few pics of waterfalls and views from a few of my hikes in the Appalachian Mountains over the last few weeks. I enjoy studying how river water flows naturally,... I know some of my Koi friends do too.
Raper Creek flows through a deep valley in North Georgia, between Lake Burton, and Clarkesville.
A truly amazing 2 step waterfall,... flowing over a huge 100 yard curved rock cliff.
A man-made waterfall, built years ago on the upper Chatahoochie River to divert some of the water to the side to turn a stone wheel for grinding grain.
